Andrew Hitchen is a freelance illustrator living in London, UK. His distinctive drawing style has earned him numerous commissions for magazines, newspapers, events, and indie record labels over the years. His artwork is a fascinating blend of both traditional and modern techniques, drawing inspiration from Pop Art, Graphic Novels, Surrealism, Popular Culture and Children’s Illustration.
Andrew is also the creator of the popular “THINGS TO DO WITH YESTERDAY’S PAPER” series – a collection of highly imaginative illustrations involving a small black cat and its various creations with sheets of old newspaper. The drawings in this series have been described as “unique, memorable and lively” and have been appealing to both children and adults alike.
Andrew is also the author and illustrator of two novellas for children called ‘The Haunted Snow Globe’ and ‘Caught On Camera’, both of which have been serialised in Asahi Weekly in Japan. Some of the illustrations for these stories have been downloaded here onto Redbubble.
