Artist's Description

I’ve been thinking about doing this photo for so long and now finally I managed to do it, also thanks to my new friend and artist Simone, who makes the perfect devil!

I’ve been inspired by the beautiful Angelo Branduardi’s song La sposa rubata, which is the transposition of a Breton Ballad titled La fiancée de Satan. It tells the story of a dark man (the Devil) who sees a beautiful girl at her marriage and using a deception he takes her with him below the water, in Hell.
A theme similar to this is present in another popular English ballad called The Daemon Lover, also known as James Harris, or The House Carpenter.

«And what hills, what hills are those, my love,
Those hills so dark and low?»
«Those are the hills of Hell, my love,
Where you and I must go».
