Artist's Description

When you came out the beautiful hotel where I took a photo of the painting and walked to the wall and looked over, this is what you saw. This was how the native peoples of Jamaica lived. In corrugated huts which must have been as hot as Hades. There was no proper road in or out, so if there had been a fire (heaven forbid) they would have been toast. Others had concrete house or wooden shacks, but these were the real poor who lived in shanty town.
