flip the coin you can't see

you’re scared;
hiding under your white sheets from the world
with all its impurities,
but reality has lately unfolded
in the palms of my cracked hands
showing me
that the reflection of all colors
has lost its value of innocence-
as we all have.

In the dark,
we are all beautiful
because we are all blind,
and though our colors are being absorbed
we are not,
because judgement is a bright light
that exposes our skin to thirsting eyes.
uncover your head…
take a breath of night
as an invisible vagabond,
and wait for someone worthwhile
to cross your directionless path.

flip the coin you can't see
