Artist's Description

`Ale stenar` in Kåseberga, Scania, Sweden.
These stones are part of a stone ship, that has functioned as a `sun dial´
and made it possible to know exactly what time of the year it was, and when
to celebrate important solar events. The smaller stone in front of the stem stone is probably representing the protruding keel of a Bronze Age ship.
It´s interesting that our present churches are divided into three or more `ships´,
at least in my language. This has been a very sacred place once!
