“Home Is Where The Hatred Is” by musician Gil Scott Heron
A junkie walking through the twilight
I’m on my way home
I left three days ago, but no one seems to know I’m gone
Home is where the hatred is
Home is filled with pain and it,
might not be such a bad idea if I never, never went home again
Stand as far away from me as you can and ask me why
hang on to your rosary beads
close your eyes to watch me die
you keep saying, kick it, quit it, kick it, quit it
God, but did you ever try
to turn your sick soul inside out
so that the world, so that the world
can watch you die
Home is where I live inside my white powder dreams
home was once an empty vacuum that’s filled now with my silent screams
home is where the needle marks
try to heal my broken heart
and it might not be such a bad idea if I never, if I never went home again
home again
home again
home again
kick it, quit it
kick it, quit it
kick it, quit it
kick it, can’t go home again

The original Pusher Man (helene ruiz)

Who are the real dope dealers today?
The ones with M.D. after their names, that’s who…
They prescribe opiates for pain then when the patient gets addicted but there is NO help or interest in controlling the resulting problem…a very big and serious problem…
Send the patient to rehab…he comes out clean, but because he suffers with chronic pain issues, the LEGAL Government approved dope dealer prescribes, yet again, another opiate to handle or mask the pain of their patient / victim …
Now here we go…back to square one, a vicious circle, a merry-go-round that never ever ends… round and round we go…
All opiate addiction programs closed, "So sorry ma’am, would love to help your baby brother, but we are not allowed to take any new patients..no more patients, we reached the maximum “limit” according to the government laws…can’t afford to lose our license and there is no solution to fix the problems we create… more addicts than the legalized dope dealers can take in….(all the while I hear the song “Inner City Blues” and rewrite the word to the classic melody within my mind)
Try and talk to someone, a friend, a colleague, a professional…what a crock of pure bullshit….they think they have all the answers, as though it is so simple, got their opinions, judgements and feeling of “righteousness”….my GOD…is real? YES.. it is.
So the world blinds themselves as though if their eyes are closed they cannot watch them die….
I closed my eyes…but I still can see my baby brother dying….before my eyes…I open my eyes, I still see him dying…close, open, close, open…the reality is still there…not going away…hours and hours of searching for help, daily and nightly visits to the emergency room for convulsions, fevers, diarrhea, vomiting, blood pressure rises so high it is almost surreal…yet, they don’t know what to do for my baby brother…how do I help him? Cries go out to deaf ears…No one gives a damn…
All they can do is write a prescription to get them addicted, then to watch them suffer with tortured souls and bodies, only to die a slow death…no one can help them in that stage…not even the Government Approved Dope Dealers….Mista Doctor Man…M.D. ( reversed letters stand for “dope man”)…Fuck You government controlled dope man…..“Mista M.D.”
