Time flies

‘Tik tik tak it’s a quarter to two……….times goes slowly for those who wait’ – that’s at least what Madonna suggests.

For Vivianna Torun Buelow Huebe we shouldn’t be a prisoner of time.

Philosophy teaches us that there is no past or future, we just live in the so-called NOW.

Einstein believed that there was no true division between past and future therefore rejected the separation we experience as the moment of now.

Les Miserables wraps it up in a very different way ‘by the end of the day you’re another day older, another day less to be living, a day closer to dying’.

Time just a construct to capture distance has been around forever even now as we read these letters forming words and sentences.

A black limousine is gliding along the famous Ritz Hotel on Piccadilly; in a fraction of time she gets a glimpse of her radiating appearance. The door swings open as she greets her driver moving slowly to her favourite seat at the back, taking extreme care of her glistening ball gown. Finally seated flashlights appear from all around capturing her beauty for all times.
The driver closes the door motioning the car into the busy street setting direction for home.

Home, a three story mansion, surrounded by lush gardens
overlooking the river Thames. A tree lined driveway culminating in fountains and Koi-ponds pointing to ornate Greek columns, the entrance of her home.
Granite, marble, colourful Persian carpets leading the way to her bedroom on the second floor. Opposite the entrance to her world are river facing windows giving way to nature, nature that has been around for hundreds maybe thousands of years.

Light blue the colour of her evening, gently sliding out of her light blue hand embroidered dress leaving the opera night behind.
After a shower that felt like soft raindrops caressing her body she walks onto the balcony.
Sparkling stars scattered along the clear dark sky on a Wednesday morning.
Staring without focus trying to calm millions of thoughts racing through her mind she takes a deep breath. Time seems to stand still although everything around her is moving at a speed we often do need see. The world is an ever changing place even hers.

Having lost her parents in a fatal car accident just a few weeks ago she struggles to maintain time. Everything has lost its meaning and desire. She feels like being thrown into a black hole not knowing where to turn just spinning down a never-ending spiral.

She stares into the star-studded sky contemplating about looking into the past or future. Time travels, time flies, time goes by…………suddenly a disturbing noise.

Time caught up with her – Seven am in the morning she gets up preparing herself for another day at work.

So, what time did you get up in the morning?????
