Lightly swaying in the gentle summer breeze
Cooled by the shade of dancing trees
A handsome young man and a beautiful girl
Two star-crossed lovers, lost to the world

Livin’ love the way it has always been meant
Each finding their one and only heaven sent
Smiles that would light the darkest of nights
Hearts so weightless they could take flight

This is the dream, for which most hearts yearn
This kinda love makes my candle burn
I sit here and watch, not rudely, just in adoration
Their eyes meet in a sudden revelation

She has pink in her cheeks, her joy shows
As beautiful as the petal of a sunkist rose
He has that aire, like he is invincible, he has won
He knows he is lucky, he knows he’s found his one

As I get up to walk away, her eyes met mine
With a look of wonder, she walks from his side
Asked me why I sat and watched them there
So I answered, told her my why and where

This is what I shared with her and him before I left
Told them that I had once been in his shoes myself
Had a beautiful young girl that once loved me that way
For thirty-seven years, our hearts were together everyday

I see her in you and it eased my lonely heart
To watch you two, so in love, was a work of art
My heart has no room to let another in
For when she passed, I lost my heart and my best friend

Son, cherish this girl, treat her tenderly and kind
Be the man she needs, love her for all time
For every moment and every day gone by
Will shorten the time you can cherish with her by your side

I wish I had one more day, even one minute more
To just go back, to feel that love, that you two have instore
I thanked them for the conversation and turned to walk away
They both grabbed an arm and asked me to stay

I told them I couldn’t but they would see me along the way
For their love gave me hope, that I’d see that love again, someday!

Never put off saying what you feel in your heart!.Say it!..Live it!…Feel it!….We never know if the chance to say it or show it will come again, today is all we have and we should make the most of it!
