I don’t always know who took the pictures I buy at auction. In this case I do: I purchased negatives from the estate of noted regional photographer Barbara Levy (1950-1999). This is from one set of these negatives: I call them “Knotty Pictures.”
Today’s army of digital photographers can snap just about anything and claim they are “photographers.” But they can’t travel back in time. I can. I find the lost negatives and bring them back to life.
