Artist's Description

This church is built by early Christians in Goreme, a district of Nevşehir city in Turkey (4th century).

After the volcanic eruption of Mount Erciyes lava formed soft rocks in the Cappadocia region. These soft rocks are carved by people ans used as houses and some of them as churches.

No flash is used to capture this picture. Only long exposured.
