This is an image of the water feature at Southbank looking back across the Yarra towards Melbourne. While it is a departure from my normal landscapes I took this as it reminded me of the work of one of my favourite authors William Gibson. William Gibson started as a sci-fi writer, though now he would be more likely described as a near future, he writes about the possibilities that exist in the near future.
This image reminded me of a certain passage of his describing the internet.
“Line of light ranged in the nonspace of the mind, clusters and constellations of data, Like city lights, receding.” – William Gibson.
