Artist's Description

I made this painting in year 2000. In the memory of my dearest mother, who died a year after this painting was completed. I wanted to show her all she taught me over her life time. But unfortunately , she could not see this. My mother was a very special person to me and to all around her. She had been a symbol of grace and strength for me and all the people she used to help as a teacher/ social worker .

She taught me the true meanings of love ……love is freedom of thought , thats the title of this painting . The image is of an Asian girl from Pakistan (my home land) , dreaming with all her attire and imagining to fly like an angel …….to find love.
“Ahh” i heard you say!

This is not a clear image of the painting as the original work has lot of collage work with sequence and golden leaf embroidery on the acrylic board.

Material used is multimedia, acrylics, golden leaf, sequence, beads, silk, thread, glue,
Size : 60Cmx 90cm
