One last Stab

This world drags you down each day,
But you’re still up and standing.
You hold your head in your worn hands,
Why is life always so demanding?
Hide away, your feeling too weak,
And you don’t want anyone to see.
Heaven forbid they notice you’re only human,
With a tear running down your cheek.
How close are you to your breaking point?
How many more blows can you take?
Refusing the help of a reaching out hand,
How much of your inner strength is fake?
You’re taking longer to get back on your feet,
Who are you trying to kid?
Just let out the pain you’re holding in deep,
And stop holding down your lid.
Because the more you hold in the more it hurts,
And there’s no better rehab.
Than releasing it all before it kills you
Or before you take one last stab.
