I enjoy driving down the little country back roads looking for old buildings that represent the good old past of our great Nation, and when the opportunity offers itself, I have conversations with the many delightful people I meet along the way.
The other day I was down on Emgram Island road where I talked to an elderly gentleman who was working alongside the old gravel road. I told him how much I enjoyed his farm and he told me he had never lived anywhere else, “been here my whole life”. I had noticed he had several old Ford trucks parked side-by-side for future parts needs. I commented, “And you like Ford trucks?” To which he answered, “I love Ford trucks and I love Emgram Island”.
Wow, that sounds like the kind of love we as Christians should have for our Father.
“Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom”. –Luke 12:32
And when asked by others about our relationship with God, we can answer, “I love the Father and I love His Kingdom”.
