In memory of a wonderful father

No one could ever take the place of you daddy,
You made me laugh, sometimes you made me cry,
But the love you gave me was so special, and it broke my heart when you died.

The memories live on, and I sit and laugh at the favorite times,
You used to hold me in your arms and cuddle me when I felt down,
But with your perfect personality, I could hardly ever frown.

The music you played still goes on in my head,
The guitar, the saxophone and your wonderful voice,
I could listen to you everyday and would not be spoilt for choice.

I remember the walks we had, and the trip to Werneth Low,
That beautiful winters morning the fields were full of snow,
We stood on top of the hill, and heard the high winds blow.

I wish you was still here with us daddy,
And I know your always around,
And as long as I have those memories, I’ll always feel safe and sound.

I love you with all my heart daddy,
And that word from my heart is true,
So until we meet on the other side, my heart will forever be true.
