Artist's Description

Tonight we celebrated Mabon, which, for us Pagans (Wiccans), is the holiday that marks the fall harvest and the preparations for the coming of winter (its a metaphor-I don’t pick corn). Mabon is celebrated on the Autumnal Equinox. Food, candles, calling the corners, welcoming the spirits, sharing stories, sharing love, and a glorious feast. Fun was had by all in attendance. The host, my dear friend TC, just got a new kitty (ok, a few months ago, but Eli was new to me.) He was permissive enough to allow me to capture this adorable photo, Something about having circle and calling the corners and warm hearts around the candles brings the kindness and affection out of any home animals that happen to be there. Maybe it was the spirits, maybe he was just being sweet (maybe both – look at that adorable face.)
If Delain wasnt snipped, I would introduce her to Eli. :))
