Amongst The Seducing Cliffs of the Moors

Thy heavy stead fast steps
Announce they are
Leading thee to the same place
Where the ebony moon over yonder
Aligns under the same stars
Where thee look and contemplate over
The Seducing cliffs of the moors.
The waters of the ravines
Seem to calm and take thee
To another world of memories
A place I canst fathom not
I wish, oh how I wish, I had the
Courage to question thee
To question where thou art
Sadness is all I perceive.
I am invisible to thine eyes
Hiding beneath the golden cloak
Of the forever witnessing Golden Trees
If thee sense my presence
It is only the fall of a leaf that deceives
Thee wear a dark cloak which waves and dances
With the fresh breath of the breeze
How it beckons me
As it lets me know of a body strong; a body warm
Oh, how I’ve longed for thee to embrace me
Thy dark long hair, ebony as the night
All of this I have beheld
Of my secret man that walks in solitude
Yearning to stroke; yearning to touch.
I remain invisible to thine eyes
Hiding beneath my invisible cloth
And the golden protection of the Trees
I have eternally watched thee
Standing handsomely tall and gracefully
As I sit quietly under muted trees
Til the screech of an owl distracts thine attention
Or yet that is what it seems
Horrified I see thee turn and look at me.
I shudder as my hungry heart takes a leap
Entranced by thy godlike eyes
I cannot flee nor hide
Have thee cometh closer perhaps to examine this poor soul?
The one that weeps for the love her heart hath chosen
Or shoo her off as an intruder of thy peace?
Yet thee take me by my hand
And pull me over to thine eyes’ length
And that’s when I see
A casting of thy soothing gaze
Over the dark moors
Then gentle and friendly eyes
Turn to me to
Guard my fate and destiny.
“Doth thy not speak?” He besought.
“Yes”, startled, was my meek answer
Forgetting my questions
Of long ago.
“Lady Sweet, my faithful shadow of darkness
Accompanying my solitude always in silence
Faithfully for so long
I watched thee from afar
Thee who permeates of jasmine and lavender too
Thy scent luring me
Giving away thy secret hiding place
Thy sweetness hath my loneliness dissolved.
The echoes of pain
Easing my soul
Every night’s
River, through the valley, where it murmurs,
Without rest or peace,
Never more
For thy quiet singing, gentle whispers,
Breathing melodies
Have quieted my soul
It drifts no more
I have found thee
From thy presence I could never turn away
With thee I must forever linger
Canst thee show me the path to thy door?”
Smelling like jasmine and lavender
His cloak covering two souls from the dark and cold
We followed the path straight to our hearts
And Home opened its heartwarming doors.
