Artist's Description

Known as ‘Mother nature’s antibiotic’, this plant has high levels of vitamin C and helps to fight off colds and flu and assists the immune system. The leaves, flowers and seeds are all edible and can be added to summer salads and used as edible garnish to cheer up any meal. The plant has a peppery taste and works very well with tomatoes and basil. The leaves can be torn up and added to green salads and the flowers have a taste more like watercress and are great eaten by themselves or even stuffed with cream cheese! The seeds can be chopped up or mixed into garlic butter or even pickled!
Nasturtiums are great companion plants in the garden and actually improve the growth of other plants.
