Artist's Description

Camera – Nikon D 90 – Lens Sigma 18 -200

I know I am a bit late, but meaning to do this for a couple of weeks. In about 1968 the very first LP (remember those things folks?) I bought was Idea by the Bee Gees and being young and impressionable and full of love and hope, Swan Song was my favourite track on the LP – I have loved it ever since. And I still have the LP but, sadly, no record player on which to play it any more. This is my tribute to Robin Gibb – a great lyricist – whom I had the pleasure of meeting in person a few years back – nothing to do with music but he attended a function organised to raise funds for the raising of the first HMS Invincible, an 18th Century English RN Ship which sunk in the Solent. He was the most charming man you could ever wish to meet – we chatted for ages about this and that – he was world famous of course, but still went to fetch me a glass of wine and a nibble. Lovely man.

Rest in peace Robin. And thank you for such much wonderful music.

1 image, plus an image of my own for the background together with brushwork overlay to create further textured overlayers
