Artist's Description

This shows the line waiting to enter Lenin’s Tomb on Red Square, with the Kremlin on the right. Lenin’s popularity grew visibly between my two visits in 2005 and 2008. Older, and even younger, Russians are moved to tears at the sight of Lenin (cameras are not allowed inside). In spite of the wrong things he did, Lenin is now considered the “Father of his country”.
