The Day the Earth Groaned.

The Day the Earth Groaned
and gave birth to its slaughter
It was neither son nor daughter
that came forth.

It was indeed the pain
of labour that brought forth
the War of all Wars.
It was the day that the
Phoenix would rise no more.

It was the day that the judgement
fell and the habitants
Groaned and moaned
becauseof their pride
and hard hearts.

Oh that we would have listened
to the voice within that
called us to his side
to speak of peace and love
and harmony.

No we could not win
we wanted to much.
Pride and lust are
but the pains of death
that harbour in our side.
like one that had gone
before us who taught
and was slaughtered.

The spear has
slaughtered us
and has brought forth
the final hour.
Were the blood
will flow and
will wash away
the dirt of our souls.

Where the judgement
will come and in a day
the Earth will Groan
and be no more.
