How does that make you feel? To think you never will leave
So many before you stay in this blanket of comfort until just deceased
No contribution to speak of outside of jealousy and bitter remorse
Wishing you had seen and done so much more, needed force
You have my heart is what she screams as though it will consolidate
Reconcile with what is so far gone beyond just too late
Do right by her? Makes me decent and there goes the mill
Is this destiny – to live out this drama, you sit writing your will
See yourself through her eyes, gazing over naked
This insular existence provokes, give or take it
Parallels in my own life, how it hurt and how it ended
Moments of clarity, times of solitude that transcended
To be idealistic writes the prologue of this sad tale
Of a love so original and untouched, it had to fail
Come around again, to what was soon erased
Of something genuine – and sweet to the taste
In its own entity it remains, hanging in air
Memories of how we used to talk still reside there
A footprint in the sand, await tides and ride the swings
See what is created, what this realization will come to bring
Half-wits mark our words with airy wisdom, sad but all in fact
Rehearsing to step over the worsening in this final act
Stay in this place and fall to pieces it hurt but helped me
When love deceases
And the transient town
Just fell free
