A Marriage Blessing

I watched a cloud pass overhead,
It made its way so slowly,
Gathering with another on its path,
To where they would be going.
They swirled and bubbled in their course,
So fluid and everchanging,
Sunlight sparked the sky clear blue,
The birds soon would be mating.

The lives we live are rich indeed,
When gathering friends close to us,
We hope to find a lasting love,
That winds within and through us.
Our course is not a knowing way,
With straight, unwavering lines,
But weaves and sometimes trudges through,
In search of hearts that shine.

So in the meshing of your lives,
With those you love around you,
Let your sparks of energy,
Build a blaze that binds you.
With each and every single day,
Through mad torrents and crystal weather,
Navigate your lives with love,
To walk all your roads together.
