The Girl with the Purseonality

Her mind is full of green tea and lip gloss.
Her defensive bursts of laughter pierce the conversation,
A stone contained in a snowball will give the same effect.
A pretty little creature, perhaps like the spider…
Her presence is known before her person.
Does she have a persona, or is she a personification of a publication about the way we should look, love, live?
She tuts at homemade lemonade, but will throw the diet pills down her neck.
Yet she is why Chambers dictionary needs to define ‘wardrobe malfunction’, “Comfort food” and “nail bars”.
She wears the daily paper as a fashion statement,
A disposable way to flitter though the day, she’ll re-arrange words whilst twirling her hair.
But she can wear her wage in make up, and still have some for clothes,
Is this really the future, oh Charles…? Do explain…

Perhaps the biggest human disease is not
cancer, flu or aids after all…
