This is a photograph of a photograph that was taken 74 years ago. A few adjustments and tweaks and I think it came out ok. I originally submitted it and purchased 2. One for my sister and one for my Mom. This is dedicated to both of them.
greta mclaughlin old family sepia
wow, history image, well treated! people looked good in those years …
Fabulous .. great history captured..
For those who are interested: My grandfather is on the left, my mom is next (I think she said she was about 12 at the time), then my grandmother and then my aunt. I never met my grandparents. My mom was 17 when they were taken to the concentration camps and her parents died there. My aunt was in the underground during the war and I really never got to know her either as I was 3 years old when we left Romania. I cherish this photograph and really only submitted it so that I could by the print. Thank you all for your comments they are very much appreciated.
Wonderful old photo, I’m glad you have such a nice image of your family.
Beautiful picture from a careless time before the WORLD lost the innocence!
This is a fantastic image, coupled with such tradegy, still hard to believe what humans are capable of doing to each other.
Nicely down Greta
