Chicadees, in the woods of Mud Lake, are much like street performers. They will do their best to entertain you with bold and un-bird-like behaviour.
They will ride along on top of your winter hat, (only the blue touque for some reason) as you trod through the snow. perch on the end of your camera and dangle their tail in front of the lens , eat out of your hand or swoop down and land on the end of the submarine sandwich you are enjoying by the water.
The only payment they seek for this ham acting is a small bit of crushed peanut or a sunflower seed. (The only clue you need to explain the attached photo.)
