i catch my breath
each time that music starts
i reach over to silence it

freezing on the knob

icy fingers pulling you to the top
of my consciousness again
everything else falls away
but this pain remains the same
and the truth is so crystal clear

I did see this poem two days ago Lisa but it caught me at the worst possible time and I just had no words to express how you speak to my soul in this. Still don’t I’m afraid – except to say – profoundly real and true
-and brilliant.i know the feeling…it took time to get this one out because the emotions i feel with this one particular love song are so strong they defy explanation…but i did try!! glad you can relate to it my friend.
