Artist's Description

This is our cat Gracie, who was found by my grandson. She had been abandoned on his other grandparents property and was found drenching wet and starving. Knowing that our previous cat, Tally, had died, my grandson called to say he had found a new cat for us. I considered this a God moment because I had been missing Tally who was with us for 17 years. We brought Gracie back to our home and for days she would sleep by her food and water dishes. She was afraid to be held and cried each time we tried to hold her. She is now 4 years old and as you can see by the picture, the kitchen is still a favorite spot. She will wait on the barstool, knowing that I will be in sometime to fix a meal. She and our other adopted cat, Molly, have become good friends. They both bring much joy and we are happy to provide them with a safe haven.
