Atlantis ... (A Far Off Land)

That Great Love

Which moved my Soul to wandering

Is now

A far off land beyond Seas of mist and time

Beyond return

A land to which no ship will now carry me

Beyond the circle of the World

Fading into unreality

The fruit untended falls and rots into the soil

However deep the roots of the Tree delve into the Earth

It cannot feed that which is dead and fallen

It cannot push gently into the light

That which It failed to nourish for so long it has withered

Into memory

That Great Love

Which once moved my Soul to wandering

Is now

A far off land beyond Seas of Mist and Time

Sunken beneath the waves …
