This is what the debate on immigration looks like to me. Especially consdering that a lot of the suffering in Mexico and Central America is a direct result of US trade policy and American consumerism. (Despite my last statement, please buy this shirt.) Apparently everyone has managed to put the uncomfortable fact that almost every American is less than five generations away from being a foreigner themselves. The text in the background is the poem "The New Colossus" by Emma Lazarus which appears on a plaque at the base of the Statue of Liberty.
*Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame,
With conquering limbs astride from land to land;
Here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall stand
A mighty woman with a torch, whose flame
Is the imprisoned lightning, and her name
Mother of Exiles. From her beacon-hand
Glows world-wide welcome; her mild eyes command
The air-bridged harbor that twin cities frame.
"Keep ancient lands, your storied pomp!" cries she
With silent lips. "Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"*

Fit very well for me, even though I am on the heavier side, and it's not easy to find a good fitting shirt!
