Artist's Description

On top of the hill on the left the brick house was where Charles Dickens lived at Bleak House, Broadstairs, Kent, England which he called his “airy nest”. Here he wrote David Copperfield and other works.

Famous quotations by Charles Dickens:
Minds, like bodies, will often fall into a pimpled, ill-conditioned state from mere excess of comfort.
Reflect on your present blessings, of which every man has many; not on your past misfortunes, of which all men have some.
Train up a fig tree in the way it should go, and when you are old sit under the shade of it.
