WHO AM I?

I am of a gender that endures many things.
I change according to who I need to be.
There are many variations to this person known as me:
Sweet, honorable, sassy and downright mean.
It’s because of my gender
I move with the force of life,
-Stopping to understand the things that I must make right.
In passing, you might be confused
To whom you might happen to see,
But those who really know me are the ones
Who understands the true person that represents me!
I am of a gender that strives to handle her conflicts
Not by running, hiding, or blaming,
Though,
You may at times see or read my hostility.
My gender is the one that becomes our mother, father, sister,
Or brother, I’m blazing all within a blink of an eye.
I am the friend to this gender and those in-between
I’m your wife, husband, lover, soul mate, and at times —your own enemy.

You might recognize the different personalities in me
And think, “It’s accordantly.”
Listen and with truth—I am the other part of you.
Yes, you may see me cry and shed no tears,
You could feel my emotions displayed in a sweet embrace,
You may smile with joy in sharing my happiness
And weep inside during my distress.
But, I’m here to tell you so listen very well
Don’t read between my lines because
I’m talking to you straight from the mind.
I’m the one you skip rope and dance the night through
I am the first kiss that you ever knew.
I am the gender that you first made love to,
You see I’m that stranger you’ve broke the first heart to
I am your friend that sits to the left and right of you,
-Your friend now standing in front of you.
More than your friend, I’m your wife, your lover, brother, or sister
And any one else you can think of;
Don’t forget your baby, or the one you say is acting like a bitch
And still you’ll not tell it all.

Understanding what is inside of me,
I had to recognize it all and that’s something no one can
Lead me through the door.
I am of a gender that can endure
And be called many things
Your man or lady
Or just playing a role
Your baby who held you tender and close
The one who can let go when your deceit failed
And you caught the real hell
Because you refused to understand that I spoke the truth.

Who am I?
Do you still want to know?
This is about reality and it’s real easy to see,
I am part man and part of me
I am the Wo-the extension of you.
I am woman
The lady and friend
And that little girl to.
