Avalon

Funny I spent 6 years living in Avalon
And your daughter is 6 years old and called Avalon.
She calls it ‘my place’.

For me it is a place for the seeking heart,
A place of pilgrimage,
Alive with healing , poetry, music.
Yet she has never been there.

For me it is a place of portals and petals,
Secrets and whispering,
The veil of apples where imaginations run free.
All of it ‘Avalon.’

For me a timeless mystical place in the heart
And for real.
A place of light and delight,
Faeries and fantasies,
Creative activities.
All of it ‘Avalon.’

I see Avalon as a waking dream and slumbering maiden,
As a lovers wild embrace and a Goddesses’ passion.
It can be all you wish it to be.
A part of you and a part of me,
All of it ‘Avalon.’

Islands rise from the quiet waters there,
Floods encircling islands
And reclaiming the land,
Back to the mists of time.
All of it ‘Avalon.’

Yet, still I find it strange that Avalon has never actually been to Avalon.
