The Garden

I walked into a yard,
Taken away by a garden.
In the front were the tulips,
Backed only by the petunias.
In the rear guarded the iris,
Midway were varying perennials,
But in the center was a rose bush.

The sweet scent clung to the air,
With natural blend of the colors,
While the mulch accented just right.
I was not the only visitor there,
A butterfly flutter and a bee buzzed,
Moreover, in the center was a rose bush.
