I was born in 1957, in Rome, where I grew up and I live.
Master Documentary Photographer since 1977, Architect Artist Photographer Painter 2.0, with my artworks I tell the story of the minor Italy with a capital M, a large diffused emotional garden; Italy, with particular attention to the South:

My artistic career began in the seventies, with my preparation in painting and architecture, during which I was accused of being too contemplative, because it was believed that art should be an abstraction.
Attracted by photgraphy, for forty years I have made contemplative photographs of architecture, landscapes and territories.

Then came the digital technological revolution, the computer, the internet, with which I was able to realize the expressive synthesis of all my artistic experiences, photography and painting.
I returned to the art of watercolor, but starting from my photographs and using software and computers.

NOT FAMOUS NOT RICH, BUT ONLY USEFUL AND HAPPY, I would like my art to be a beauty ambassador and improve life, becoming popular in the sense that it could spread among the people.
Philosopher, creative; ascetic, meditative, contemplative, visionary, slow, calm and patient by birth and by choice, slow live journey (60 meters per minute, Google survey).
I work slowly, I practice meditative and creative idleness, aesthetic esthetic pauses; 5 senses + 3 mind heart spirit, I observe, contemplate, meditate, abandoning the noise of words, narrating with narrative and evocative force of synesthetic images.

I look for beauty to communicate emotions, with the hope that my gaze can stimulate a new awareness and visual perception, helping to improve “the aesthetics and ethics of everyday life” and, therefore, the quality of life, for a better world .

In my travels, near and far, the camera always with me, in my pocket, to take notes when there is something that strikes and excites me.
Then, back home, when I turn to the computer, I turn the photographs into watercolors.

I move only by train, bus and on foot, with a pipe, a Tuscan cigar, cameras around my neck, online computers, interpreting and narrating atmospheres, emotions, thoughts and suggestions, promoting and enhancing the beauty of Italy.

My project, ethical and aesthetic, shows what others do not see, as a proposal to improve awareness, perception, the aesthetics of everyday life, the world.

Borzone de Signorio Sabelli, I come from a family where I have illustrious ancestors including, in addition to 5 Popes and 11 Cardinals, the painters Luciano Borzone (Genoa 1590-1645) and sons and students Giovanni Battista Borzone, Carlo Borzone and Giovanni Francesco Maria Borzone (Genoa 1625-1679), painter and astronomer called in France in 1656 to fresco the castle of Vincennes (Lagrange); The uncle artist, painter, Luigi Ottavio Borzone de Signorio Sabelli.
Cousin of the paternal grandmother of Catanzaro, Mimmo Rotella.

Naturally my artistic cultural baggage is full of Italian art, and not only.
They inspire me:

the Italian Vedutists: Giovanni Segantini, Giovanni Antonio Canal (Canaletto), Giovanni Boldini, Bernardo Bellotto, Francesco Guardi;

the Macchiaioli: Silvestro Lega, Giovanni Fattori, Telemaco Signorini;

The Impressionists: Claude Monet, Paul Cézanne;

the watercolors Ettore Roesler Franz, William Turner, the same Johann Wolfgang Goethe and the more recent Aldo Riso;

and again: Giorgio Morandi, Amedeo Modigliani, Vasilij Kandinsky, Paul Klee, Edward Hopper, Jan Vermeer. ; for Albrecht Durer, Giovanni Battista Piranesi.

Among the photographers, certainly of architecture and landscape, some of which are contemporary colleagues and “competitors”, Gabriele Basilico, Mimmo Jodice and Luigi Ghirri; while for the rural and anthropological photography, the friend Mario Cresci.
