Who I used to be

Sister, daughter, wife, and mother
Sometimes I wish I could be the other
Another somebody in a different time
Some other person living sublime.
Once sexy, once stylish, once myself
Label it the past and put it on the shelf.
Listening to screaming kids and making meals,
Being sick while ignoring how I feel.
This is the life that I now know
I just wish that my life didn’t show
So clearly that I am no longer me
I want my life back, who I used to be
