Artist's Description

Klamath National Forest encompasses 1,737,774 acres in the Klamath Mountains, in northern California. The forest contains continuous stands of ponderosa pine, Jeffrey pine, Douglas fir, red fir, white fir and incense cedar.
This forest has part of five wilderness areas, 152 miles of wild and scenic rivers, and 200 miles of rivers for rafting, including on the Klamath River.
With the Klamath, Salmon and Scott Rivers meandering from one end of the Forest to the other, this beautiful forest is a haven for campers, hikers, wildlife watchers, hunters, fishermen, mountains bikers, white water enthusiasts and naturalists.
Klamath National Forest is located in the national forest’s Pacific Southwest Region (Region 5).
