From The Childs Eye - Part 3 of 9

Aged 9/10

Mum was home this Christmas, she said sorry for not being here last time. Ben got a big Action Man house thing and I got a Super Nintendo, but on Christmas Eve Mum stole all of Ben’s chocolate boxes from under the tree because they’d fallen out, and then Granddad and Uncle Tom tried to shout at her for it in the kitchen, and she threw a plate at Uncle Tom, but it hit Grandma instead, and Grandma hadn’t done anything wrong. Granddad shouted again and told her to not come home again after this time. Me and Ben sat on the stairs and we were both really scared because Grandma was hurt. But when Mum shouted back at Granddad she called Grandma a bitch, which is unfair because I got told off for saying ben was a gay lord last week, and Mums allowed to say bitch.

But then Mum said she didn’t want to stay with us this Christmas, and then she got my sleeping bag I use for Cub Camp and went away and she didn’t come back, even though it was really cold outside.

Then on Christmas day she came back, and I said to Grandma I didn’t want her to stay with us, but she still let her, and she still got presents.
