'A Cry for Help'

I was withering away like a rose that had no sunlight,
Trying to capture praise led me back into the dark night.
Illusions merged to one.. in my mind I was untruthful,
Hidden behind the face that let no-one reach me.

Standing on my feet the broken wings are being mended,
Conviction over-ruled, it is not pure and not intended.
I struggle to cope with the weight of time,
I scan the past letting my mind rewind.

I slip into a dream now….
To reality I am blind.
