Still Life with a story.
A sunny afternoon we went to the bank. Were back after 20 minutes.Stayed talking a little in the car.
Then I entered the living -room and saw all the glass of the broken window shining on the carpet.
My hubby went straight to the bedroom and yes they had opened a drawer and thrown my empty purses and portfolios on the floor (in anger I suppose)
As we had talked in the car, the thief had just had the time to rush down the stairs, climb through the broken window and through the hedge into the street.
2000 introduction of the Euro.
Some time later my son cut the hedge and came in with his hands cupped full of money, that was worth nothing anymore.
Conclusion:the thief had had no time to steel anything and lost his own money in passing through the hedge.
Had a new window pane, not repaid by the insurance. It fell in the franchise.
You can see the money in the old coal shovel.
