Hi, my name is Jenny James also known as ‘Art by Jenny’ and Georgiegirl (which is my cow’s name). I’m an artist, graphic designer and illustrator, living in South Australia not far from the beach (about 5 minutes, very lucky) in the southern suburbs. My gorgeous little Vegemite has grown up (already, 21 this year!) but now I have more time for arts, crafts, colouring, drawing and running my business. I have to say, working as an artist is pretty awesome plus I have a shop as well. I love everything about my job and am so grateful for everything, every day!

My working life began over 30 years ago at The Adelaide Advertiser as an ENS Compositor, then continued after my travels to Europe at various other companies including Country Bumpkin Publications (embroidery magazines and books). I completed the Diploma of Multimedia which gave me my now very basic skills for developing and designing websites (which are a constant learning curve) and animations (which I love and will get back to one day).

These days, all the graphic design work I do is for a local primary school and my own shop. Its a quiet life but its happy, peaceful and immersed in all kinds of creativity. I’m very grateful :) My shop delivers arty treasures (art and craft supplies) throughout all of Australia and can be found here – www.shop.artbyjenny.com.au.

My portfolio website is a constant work in progress… www.artbyjenny.com.au but

I love arts and crafts – anything and everything! So, whenever possible, I’ll be drawing, painting (digitally and traditionally), creating ATCs (Artist Trading Cards), scrapbooking, animating with drawings, clay and the computer, and floating about my favourite virtual playgrounds (Redbubble, Facebook and Pinterest)… and taking photos!

I love to share and teach arts and crafts – the happiness that people feel (that I get to see) from being creative is incredible and I am so privileged to be part of that. I call my workshops Something on Saturday … even though they’re available most days, the name stuck cos it just sounds groovy! lol :) My students and I have fun being creative with stamping, mixed media, cardmaking and painting.
My blog called A Life Less Ordinary – its where I publish free tutorials that have easy to follow, step-by-step instructions on creating a variety of crafts.

Thanks ever so much for checking out my RB gallery. There’s so much to see in my RB Shop as well as throughout Redbubble, if you don’t know where to start, put your favourite colour or word in the search … Enjoy!

Happy bubbling,
