Creating ACTIONS

Two or three people have asked how to create an Action for the re-sizing job and that’s good thinking – so here goes. This is a Photoshop only thing as far as I know.

1) Click the WINDOW tab on top tool bar, then choose ACTIONS.

2) When the palette appears click on the Create New Actions button at the bottom of the palette.

3) When the New Action dialog appears give it a name (“Upsize 110%” perhaps) then choose the Function Key that you want to assign this Action to. (I use F9 but it’s a free country!)

4) Now click the RECORD button (just like on a HiFi) then repeat all the processes for resizing.

5) After you have increased by 110% click the square STOP button at the bottom of the Actions palette. This will complete your recording.

6) Now, every time you have any image on screen in Photoshop and want to increase the size all you have to do is simply press the F9 (or whatever) key!

Bingo!!

You can make an Action for several of the longer time consuming jobs that you do regularly, using a different Function key for every one.

You’ll enjoy this one!
