Artist's Description

A very rare day at Cape Grim at the extreme north west corner of Tasmania where it is said to rain on over 300 days a year. Access to this area is restricted and one has to be accompanied by a guide. We did it in a coach so all the formalities were pre arranged, including morning tea at Directors’ Lodge. The sun certainly shone on the righteous that day because we did this section shortly after lunch – earlier in the day it had been raining and the visibility wasn’t all that brilliant! One of it’s main claims to fame is that it boasts the purest and cleanest air in the world! Also it’s own brand of bottled water is produced here,
Camera was my Sony A55 with 16-80 Carl Zeiss lens and nd8 filter. I was in aperture priority mode.
