Artist's Description

Don’t ask me how I did it but somehow I managed to persuade my crook back to get me down on to the floor of this wonderful gorge where, in spite of considerable help from fellow travellers I was sadly just not able to do the final couple of hundred metres to get to see a waterfall round that far corner. It didn’t help that people were coming back from it gloating over it all!!
We are in one of the many gorges that comprise Karajini National Park in the north west of Western Australia – a region known as the Pilbara which is famed for the wonderful iron ore and other mineral discoveries in recent years. I was on a tour with Outback Spirit Tours and we were having a great time.
Sony A55V, 16-80 Zeiss lens with nd8 filter, aperture priority.
