Artist's Description

Another shot taken from the semi submersible boat as we cruised slowly above the magnificent coral of the world acclaimed Ningaloo Reef in the south west Pilbara region of Western Australia. Ningaloo is a 300kms long fringing barrier reef that protects a brilliant white sandy lagoon of clear, tropical waters. It is one of the only places on earth where you are able to walk from the beach straight on to a coral reef. We were sitting about a metre below the surface and looking out through windows that were all around us. It was quite an experience, believe me!
Sony A55V, 16-80 Zeiss lens set on auto (As I had never taken any underwater shots before I had no idea what settings to apply so decided to let the camera work it out!!)
