The almost pure white sands of Jurien Bay’s miles of beach is reflected on to the underside of these two gulls which were flown in specially from Yanchep Lagooon, some 200 kms to the south, to form a bit of foreground interest! I know I should have given them a shadow and shall probably get round to that in a quiet moment!
Jurien Bay was once – up to about 5 years ago – a VERY sleepy little fishing village on the Indian Ocean some 250 kms or so north of Perth (Western Australia) but, like so many similar places, has started to grow out of all recognition in recent times and is now a genuine holiday destination within easy reach of the City.
Sony DSC R1 for Jurien Bay, Sony A55V for the gulls. Dynamic Photo HDR and CS3
