Artist's Description

I was the day’s first person on the famed treetop walk, near Walpole in the south of Western Australia, some 450 kms from Perth. For those who would like to know more about it, some wonderful information and a video can be found here
Not for nothing is this area known as The Valley of the Giants and the enormous red tingle trees – which live for 400 years or more – are found nowhere else in the world other than in this few square kilometres of our state.
The treetop walk has been open for some 13 years now and has already attracted over two and a half million visitors from across the world.
For this photo I was using my Sony alpha 55V with 16-80 Carl Zeiss lens attached. I was in aperture priority and was hand holding the camera.
