Although our visit was during the early part of the dry season there were many creeks to be negotiated as we made our way through the Kakadu National Park in Australia’s Northern Territory.
This creek was particularly beautiful as it was actually a part of a delightful roadside billabong that was almost completely covered in gorgeous water lilies (photo to be posted shortly) Our tour coach, seen here entering the creek, had a unique body system that could be raised a few inches before tackling water hazards such as this, with the result that we all stayed dry!
We had a VERY co-operative tour captain who let us keen photo types get out at the far side before reversing back through the creek and repeating the crossing specially for our cameras!!
Photo taken with my Sony DSC R1 on f8 aperture priority and ISO of 180, hand held, of course (I had no room to pack a tripod for this trip)
