Artist's Description

I’m going back a long time here because I can remember taking this shortly before we came out to Australia, so it must have been around 1969. It was taken on Kodak colour transparency film (Kodachrome??) and is the little – and very old – village of Allerford which from memory is in the English west country county of Somerset.
This old Packhorse bridge has stood there for centuries and must have been photographed by thousands of people in it’s time. This was my first visit to the area and we had my parents with us – in fact that’s my mother on the bridge!
