Artist's Description

A young whale disporting himself beside a proud, but rather bored, mother who can just been seen breaking the surface. This was taken at Point Ann in the Fitzgerald River National Park near to Bremer Bay on the far south coast of Western Australia some 550 kms south of Perth. The whales are Southern Rights and they come into Point Ann between August and October every year to calve and rest up before their annual migration. This photo was taken at 120 zoom and cropped drastically in Photoshop afterwards.
